Roberto De Zerbi is in talks to extend his contract at Brighton.
The Italian has been a huge success at the Amex Stadium after replacing Graham Potter in September 2022, impressing observers with an attacking game that led the Seagulls into Europe for the first time this season.

His current deal does not expire until June 2026 but the former Shakhtar Donetsk boss revealed discussions over an extension have already started.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s home game with Brentford, he said: “I feel very well in Brighton.
“I have a great relationship with the players, with the club, with Tony [Bloom], with Paul Barber, David Weir and everybody who works in Brighton.
“Yes, we are speaking about the new contract, but at the moment we are speaking, it’s not done yet.”

De Zerbi has been linked with some of the top jobs in Europe, including Real Madrid, due to the work he has done on the south coast but insists he is settled at Brighton.
He added: “I usually work to be happy and to enjoy and I feel very good in Brighton.
“In the end, we have to analyse the target. If the targets are the same as the club, it is an honour for me to work in Brighton.
“I don’t try to reach the higher level, the most important for me is working seriously, work with a good team, good players.”
