Bayern Munich have confirmed defender Eric Dier will remain with the club next season after a clause in his loan deal from Tottenham was met.
Dier linked up with his former team-mate Harry Kane in Bavaria in January, arriving at the Allianz Arena on loan for the rest of the season after falling out of favour at Spurs.
The deal to take him to Germany contained a clause to activate a 12-month contract if Dier appeared in a certain number of games for the Bundesliga champions.

On Saturday, Bayern confirmed that clause has been met, bringing an end to Dier’s 10-year stay with Tottenham.
Speaking to Bayern’s official media channels, Dier said: “I’m happy in Munich.
“Now my future is sorted, I can focus on playing well for the club and trying to help the club to win games, win competitions, even though it’s been a difficult period for us.”
Friday’s 2-2 draw at Freiburg kept Bayern seven points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen at the Bundesliga summit, meaning Xabi Alonso’s men can go 10 points clear when they face Koln on Sunday.
