Bayern Munich and German international attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala is the subject of strong interest from Premier League club, Liverpool.
It has been reported that the 20-year-old attacker has been identified by The Reds as a potential future arrival at Anfield with his current contract at Bayern Munich due to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season and current talks stalling over a new deal.
It would be expected, though, that any possible transfer for the player, who is also reportedly wanted by former side Chelsea, would be in excess of over £100 million next summer.
Musiala has not been a guaranteed starter for the Bavarians since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel during the March international break, often being rotated in the number ten role with Thomas Muller.
Musiala, born in Stuttgart, began his youth career with TSV Lehnerz in 2008 at the age of just five. He moved to England to join Southampton in 2010 before moving to the famed Chelsea academy just a year later.
After spending eight years with The Blues, Musiala eventually departed back to his home country to join German giants, Bayern Munich, in 2019.
Whilst with Bayern, Musiala has made 133 appearances across all competitions already, scoring 32 goals. He has won four Bundesliga titles as well as three DFL-Supercups, the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
Internationally, Musiala represented England at U15, U16, U17 and U21 level as recently as 2020. However, he also played for the Germany U16 side and has since made 24 appearances for the senior national team, scoring two goals so far.
Liverpool have already undergone something of a midfield revamp over the summer with the likes of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho all departing. Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch all arrived.
