Crystal Palace and England defender Marc Guehi could be sidelined for up to eight weeks after undergoing surgery on a knee injury, according to reports.
Guehi was substituted during the first half of Palace’s 4-1 Premier League defeat to rivals Brighton and Hove Albion on February 3 and has not featured since.
It was initially thought that he might be able to return in early March, but he has now been forced to go under the knife to rectify the problem, in a blow to new Eagles boss Oliver Glasner.

Widespread reports on Wednesday suggested Guehi will miss between six and eight weeks, meaning he does harbour hopes of returning in time for Palace’s last few games of the season.
That would come as a relief to England boss Gareth Southgate, with Guehi expected to be in contention for a place in the Three Lions’ squad for Euro 2024.

The 23-year-old will, however, miss his country’s friendlies against Brazil and Belgium at Wembley Stadium next month.
Guehi has won nine senior caps for England, starting both of the Three Lions’ games in the most recent international break as they rounded off their Euro 2024 qualification campaign against Malta and North Macedonia in November.
Palace visit Tottenham for a London derby on Saturday before hosting Luton Town in their final game before the international break on March 9.
