Kylian Mbappe has yet to decide his future plans but is confident Paris Saint-Germain will be protected either way.
The France international, who scored in PSG’s 2-0 win over Toulouse in the Champions Trophy last night, is out of contract in the summer and has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Real Madrid.

Although he can leave on a free transfer, it is believed the 25-year-old has already agreed with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to waive loyalty payments totalling approximately £86million, to help soften the blow.
Asked about his summer intentions, Mbappe said: “To start with I’m very motivated by this year. It’s very important. We have titles to win and we have already won one.
“I haven’t made my decision yet. With the agreement I had with the president last summer, my decision is not important as we managed to protect all the parties and preserved the serenity of the club for the challenges to come, which is the most important.”
Mbappe has been regularly linked with Madrid throughout his time at the Parc des Princes and came close to moving to the Spanish capital in 2022 before signing a new deal.
Asked if he knew when he would decide this time round, he added: “It was at the end of May in 2022 because I didn’t know until May.
“If I know what I want to do, why wait? It would make no sense but like I have said, the most important are the titles. We have won one already and we are determined to win more. My personal situation, inside the club, nobody talks about it, it doesn’t create much interest.”
