Militao signs new deal at Real Madrid

-

Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has signed a new deal at the Santiago Bernabeu that runs until June 2030.

The Brazil international’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of next season and he joins Vinicius Jnr and Rodrygo in committing his long-term future to the club.

The 26-year-old has made 143 appearances for Madrid since joining from Porto for €50million in 2019, helping them to a Champions League title and two La Liga crowns.

His 2023-24 campaign has been derailed by injury, however, after he ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament in Madrid’s season-opener against Athletic Bilbao.

Militao has resumed training but is not expected back until next month.
