Roma say centre-back Evan Ndicka “feels better” and is “in good spirits” after collapsing during Sunday’s Serie A match against Udinese, which was subsequently suspended.
Ndicka went down off the ball 72 minutes into the game at Bluenergy Stadium, which was halted with the score 1-1 as the defender received treatment.
Ndicka appeared to be conscious as he was carried from the pitch on a stretcher and was transferred to hospital as Roma said he would remain under observation and undergo tests.
The Giallorossi shared an image of Ndicka in hospital on social media, revealing he had been visited by his team-mates on Sunday night.

It is likely Udinese and Roma will meet to play out the remaining 18 minutes of the game at a later date, after Romelu Lukaku cancelled out Roberto Pereyra’s early opener.
Roma sit fifth in Serie A, four points adrift of fourth-placed Bologna with a game in hand, after enjoying an upturn since former midfielder Daniele De Rossi replaced Jose Mourinho in the dugout in January.
The Giallorossi have won 11 of their 16 games under De Rossi, drawing three and losing two, and hold a 1-0 lead over Milan ahead of the second leg of the teams’ Europa League quarter-final tie on Thursday.
The squad went to visit Ndicka at the hospital.
Evan is feeling better and is in good spirits. He will remain in the hospital for further observations.
