Jarrod Bowen has put pen to paper on a fresh seven-year contract with the Hammers, ensuring his stay at the London Stadium until 2030.
Bowen, whose prior agreement was set to expire in 2025, has been in stellar form this season, leading the club’s scoring charts with five Premier League goals in the first eight matches.
He has been a constant presence in the starting line-up for all of West Ham’s Premier League fixtures this season, having missed only two league matches since the commencement of the 2020/21 season. During this period, he has notched up an impressive 31 league goals.
One of the defining moments of the 26-year-old’s career at West Ham came in May when he scored a late goal that secured a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final, earning him a spot in UEFA’s team of the tournament.
Bowen expressed his enthusiasm for the new deal, stating, “I’m so pleased to have signed a new long-term contract at West Ham. Everyone knows what this club means to me, so committing my future until 2030 means so much to me and my family. I’ve loved every minute of my time here. Winning the Europa Conference League in Prague was an amazing moment, scoring the winner in the last minute will be something I’ll cherish forever. It’s left us all wanting that feeling again and again – we want to create more memories together, for our fantastic fans, and for this fantastic football club.”
Bowen initially joined West Ham from Hull in January 2020 for a transfer fee of £18 million, with the potential for an additional £7 million in add-ons.
Since then, he has made 166 appearances for the club in all competitions, amassing an impressive tally of 45 goals, including nine in European competitions.
