Swansea City have announced that they have completed the signing of former Crystal Palace and Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie, on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old attacker has joined The Jacks on a short-team deal with the length and terms of the contract remaining undisclosed as of yet.
Bolasie, who most recently left Turkish Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor in the summer after two seasons with the club, left England in 2021 after a loan stint at Middlesbrough from Everton.
The Lyon-born forward began his career in 2006 with Hillingdon Borough in the Southern Premier League before moving to Malta and spending a season with Floriana.
After his trip to Malta, Bolasie joined Plymouth Argyle and spent three seasons with The Pilgrims, albeit he had two loan spells during that time with Rushden and Diamonds, as well as Barnet.
After leaving Home Park in 2011, Bolasie signed for Bristol City before a move to Crystal Palace in 2012, where he gained most his reputation for being one of the more exciting wingers in English football.
After leaving The Eagles in 2016, where he made 144 appearances and helped lift them back into the Premier League, Bolasie joined Everton for a fee believed to be in the region of £25 million.
His spell with The Toffees was underwhelming and he spent time out on loan at Aston Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting CP and Middlesbrough before his aforementioned move to Caykur Rizespor on a free transfer a couple of years ago.
Internationally, Bolasie could have represented both England and France but has scored nine goals in 50 caps for the Democratic Republic of Congo national team.
Under the management of former Barnsley and Cheltenham Town boss Michael Duff, Swansea sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table. They shared a 2-2 draw with Hull City at the weekend and they are eight points off the top six, eight above the relegation places.
