Toni Kroos is yet to decide whether he will continue with Real Madrid beyond the end of this season, while he is also weighing up the possibility of returning to the Germany team for Euro 2024.
Kroos signed a one-year contract extension with Madrid last June, taking his distinguished stint at the Santiago Bernabeu into a 10th season.
Despite fierce competition for places from Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde and others, Kroos has remained central to Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield plans.

Kroos has appeared in 23 of Madrid’s 24 league games this term, starting 17 of those matches to help Los Blancos pull five points clear at the top of La Liga.
The 34-year-old will be out of contract in June and Madrid will allow him to make his own decision on his future, but Kroos is considering his options.
Asked about his future at a press conference to preview Tuesday’s Champions League trip to RB Leipzig, Kroos said: “I always tell you the truth, and the truth is that I don’t know.
“I’m thinking about it, I haven’t decided anything. You can say that I’m very happy that a lot of people want me to continue, it’s better than the opposite! I feel good.
“I always said I wanted to finish my career at a very high level. I’m happy with the decision I made last year.”

Speaking alongside the midfielder, Ancelotti said: “He will make his decision and we have to respect it.
“You have to stop at the top, as I see it. He has to choose the right time. His performances have always been the same, he hasn’t had highs and lows.”
Kroos called time on his international career in 2021 to concentrate on Madrid, but with Euro 2024 taking place in Germany this year, reports have suggested he is considering making himself available to new boss Julian Nagelsmann.
Kroos was also unwilling to give much away regarding his international future, saying: “I have to make decisions, to think a lot about what I will do.
“I haven’t decided whether to renew [with Madrid] or return to the Germany team. It depends on a lot of things, also on my personal plans.
“To go back to Germany? I’m thinking about it. It’s a possibility.”
