Mauricio Pochettino says he has received positive communication from the Chelsea owners as he fights to save his job at Stamford Bridge.
Sunday’s 4-2 defeat at home to Wolves was met with boos at the final whistle with some fans even chanting for the return of former manager Jose Mourinho.

Despite another summer of lavish spending, Chelsea remain in the bottom half of the Premier League table, prompting speculation Pochettino could be sacked after just seven months in charge.
Asked if he feels he still has the trust of the club’s owners, he replied: “I haven’t anything in another way. I received very good texts from them.
“I think we are all together in this and that’s important. Of course I am in contact with them and the sporting director every day.”
Pochettino would like the fans to get behind the players but accepts it is on him and the team to give them something to cheer.
“We need to create a good connection with the fans,” he added.
“The fans need to understand when they go to Stamford Bridge it’s a different Chelsea, a different project, a different everything. It’s the responsibility of the players and the staff to create a connection, something in between they appreciate.
“The fans need from us to see that we really care about the club. I promise you and the fans that the players want to perform and win games. The player suffer when they are not performing. They are desperate to receive the love from the fans but at the same time they understand the situation.
“If you are not performing it’s normal the fans should criticise us. We need to be together. The fans will realise the players need different support, need to engage with the people. It depends on us to show the right energy.”
There have been suggestions defender Thiago Silva’s wife called for Pochettino to be sacked on social media, and the former Tottenham boss said he had spoken to the Brazilian today to clarify the situation.
“He came today to talk with me,” he said. “The important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me.
“We are very strong in the way we want to operate. We talked and I don’t want to talk about what was said, it was private. My relationship with him is very good.”
Chelsea go to Aston Villa tomorrow night in an FA Cup fourth-round replay and Pochettino says he backs his players to turn things around.
“I told the players today I trust in you more than ever,” he said.
“I am going to support you more than ever. I am not a normal boss, I am a leader. I think I need to reflect in every action that I trust the players that we have.
“We are going to face this moment and know that we can bounce back and win games.”
