With the Gameweek 7 deadline not far away, we take a look at some of the form players giving FPL managers much to consider over the next couple of days.
Whilst Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.6m) saw his record of having gained at least one goal or assist in every gameweek so far this season come to an end in Gameweek 6, the same cannot be said for Mohamed Salah (£12.5m). The Egyptian also continued his record of having scored in every Liverpool home league fixture in 2023-24 by finding the net against West Ham last Sunday and is now one of just four players to have accumulated over 40 FPL points after six gameweeks. Despite his hefty price-tag, many fantasy managers are now actively exploring options on how to get Salah into their respective squads ahead of Double Gameweek 7, which sees Liverpool travel to Spurs.
Another high value midfield asset is also enjoying an excellent run of form which only underlines his significant FPL appeal. Bukayo Saka (£8.7m) has not only picked up a goal and assist in consecutive games for Arsenal in all competitions, but has now gone four gameweeks since he failed to gain an attacking return (Gameweek 3 at home to Fulham). But be wary, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has already declared Saka a doubt for Double Gameweek 7 due to a foot injury.
All of the Newcastle backline are in good form coming into Double Gameweek 7 with goalkeeper Nick Pope (£5.5m) also worthy of a mention having racked up clean sheets in each of his last three appearances in all competitions. But Kieran Trippier (£6.6m) is coming off the back of having accumulated three assists in Newcastle’s 0-8 slaughtering of Sheffield Utd. The Magpies and their respective FPL assets will be looking to continue their current form at home to Chelsea come Double Gameweek 7. Pope isn’t the goalkeeper who has managed clean sheets across the last two gameweeks, with Fulham’s Bernd Leno (£4.7m) having achieved the same feat.
