With the Gameweek 14 deadline drawing nearer, we run the rule over a selection of form players and why FPL managers should consider including them in their respective squads.
Gameweek 13 was very profitable from the perspective of Joao Pedro (£5.3m), who came on the pitch as an early substitute for the injured Ansu Fati (£6.5m) and went on to score twice for Brighton away at Nottingham Forest. Joao Pedro backed that up with the winning goal for the Seagulls against AEK Athens in the Europa League this past Thursday and warrants substantial fantasy interest now ahead of Gameweek 14, which sees Brighton travel to Chelsea.

Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon (£5.9m) has been in superb form all season long and whenever he plays at St. James’ Park, normally attacking returns and FPL points follow. All seven of the Magpies’ home Premier League fixtures to have been played so far this campaign, have seen Gordon record an attacking return whether it be a goal or an assist. In-fact, Gordon managed both in Gameweek 13, accruing 13 fantasy points vs Chelsea. With another home fixture for Newcastle in Gameweek 14 against Man Utd, the in-form Gordon should attract attention.
There is rarely a gameweek that comes and goes with Erling Haaland (£14.0m) not in form and his recent glut of goals will no doubt see him hold the spotlight once again in Gameweek 14, as Man City host Spurs at the Etihad Stadium. On the back of yet another Champions League goal vs RB Leipzig in midweek, Haaland has struck three goals, an assist and 23 fantasy points over the past two gameweeks. He’ll be looking to add to his 14 league goals already scored this campaign, not to mention 103 FPL points which is a total bettered only by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), who takes on Fulham at Anfield a couple of hours earlier.
