FPL 2023-24 – Free Hit XI For Double Gameweek 7

-

Considering using the Free Hit chip this week? It is a double gameweek after all! Here’s a suggested team for those activating the chip:

The following team is within the £100m budget at the time of writing, with the cheapest possible substitutes used:

3-4-3

GOALKEEPER: Nick Pope – £5.5m – Newcastle
Fixture: vs Burnley (H)

Four straight clean sheets in all competitions and faces another promoted club in Double Gameweek 7.

DEFENDER: Kieran Trippier – £6.6m – Newcastle
Fixture: vs Burnley (H)

An 18-point haul in the Gameweek 6 win over Sheffield Utd speaks for itself. Ownership is increasing rapidly.

DEFENDER: Issa Kabore – £4.0m – Luton
Fixture: vs Everton (a) / Burnley (H)

Possesses the most attacking threat in the Luton defence, and has registered two assists in the Premier League already.

DEFENDER: Amari’i Bell – £4.0m – Luton
Fixture: vs Everton (a) / Burnley (H)

A Luton defensive double-up is surely the way to go for Free Hitters, given their favourable double gameweek.

MIDFIELDER: Mo Salah – £12.5m – Liverpool
Fixture: vs Tottenham (a)

Surely one of the first names in any Free Hit team right now, given the fact he has recorded attacking returns in every Premier League fixture this season.

MIDFIELDER: Marcus Rashford – £8.9m – Man Utd
Fixture: vs Crystal Palace (H)

Hasn’t scored in his last two Premier League games, but was on the scoresheet the last time he faced Crystal Palace.

MIDFIELDER: Bruno Fernandes – £8.4m – Man Utd
Fixture: vs Crystal Palace (H)

Appears to be Man Utd’s most likely source of points at the moment, and faces a Crystal Palace side who conceded three goals to Man Utd in the midweek Carabao Cup tie.

MIDFIELDER: Jarrod Bowen – £7.1m – West Ham
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (H)

Incredibly consistent returns so far and takes on a Sheffield Utd outfit who conceded eight goals last weekend.

FORWARD: Erling Haaland – £14.1m – Man City
Fixture: vs Wolves (a)

Not including Haaland in your Free Hit team just doesn’t bear thinking about. Incredibly reliable when it comes to FPL returns.

FORWARD: Ollie Watkins – £7.9m – Aston Villa
Fixture: vs Brighton (H)

Has only blanked once in six gameweeks, and now takes on a Brighton side who haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 12 competitive fixtures.

FORWARD: Carlton Morris – £5.5m – Luton
Fixture: vs Everton (a) / Burnley (H)

Undoubtedly Luton’s chief goal threat and is easily the most appealing double gameweek asset.
