FPL 2023-24 – Free Hit XI For Gameweek 17

-

With so many injuries floating around, many FPL managers will be considering using the Free Hit chip in Gameweek 17, so here’s a suggested team!

Check out some more FPL Tips here:
Gameweek 17 Midfielders
Gameweek 17 Forwards
Gameweek 17 Bandwagons

The following team is within the £100m budget at the time of writing, with the cheapest possible substitutes used:

3-5-2

GOALKEEPER: Jordan Pickford – £4.4m – Everton
Fixture: vs Burnley (a)

Three clean sheets on the bounce, and faces promoted side Burnley in Gameweek 17.

DEFENDER: Trent Alexander-Arnold – £8.2m – Liverpool
Fixture: vs Man Utd (H)

Back to his point-scoring best having accumulated 44 FPL points in his last five Premier League games.

DEFENDER: Pedro Porro – £5.4m – Tottenham
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (a)

Relentlessly attacking down the right-hand side and has produced four assists in his last five Premier League outings.

DEFENDER: Marcos Senesi – £4.4m – Bournemouth
Fixture: vs Luton (H)

Has scored in each of his last two games while also helping his side keep a clean sheet in both.

MIDFIELDER: Mo Salah – £13.2m – Liverpool
Fixture: vs Man Utd (H)

The top point-scorer across all positions and takes on a weakened and confidence-hit Man Utd side.

MIDFIELDER: Heung Min-Son – £9.7m – Tottenham
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (a)

Second only to Salah in terms of FPL points, and recorded his sixth double-figure hail of the campaign in Gameweek 16.

MIDFIELDER: Bukayo Saka – £9.0m – Arsenal
Fixture: vs Brighton (H)

Rarely blanks and has a Gameweek 17 fixture against a Brighton team who are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League.

MIDFIELDER: Raheem Sterling – £7.1m – Chelsea
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (H)

Likely to return to the starting line-up against Sheffield Utd having already recorded 35 points against the other two promoted sides in 2023-24.

MIDFIELDER: Cole Palmer – £5.5m – Chelsea
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (H)

Doubling up on Chelsea makes sense given the fixture, and Palmer is the logical choice given his performances in recent months.

FORWARD: Ollie Watkins – £8.5m – Aston Villa
Fixture: vs Brentford (a)

Only Haaland has accumulated more fantasy points among forwards this season.

FORWARD: Dominic Solanke – £6.7m – Bournemouth
Fixture: vs Luton (H)

Plum home fixture for a man who has scored eight Premier League goals for the Cherries this season.
