FPL 2023-24 – Gameweek 15 Injury Update

-

Let’s take a look at the current injury situation ahead of the midweek round of fixtures.

Nick Pope (£5.5m) – Liverpool
Newcastle suffered a huge blow over the weekend when number one goalkeeper Pope suffered a bad shoulder injury that is likely to keep him out of action for a number of months.

Jose Sa (£5.0m) – Wolves
Sa is another goalkeeper who had to be replaced in Gameweek 14. However, the Portuguese shot-stopper has trained and is likely to be available for Wolves’ Gamerweek 15 meeting with Burnley.

Status: LIKELY TO BE AVAILABLE

Jeremy Doku (£6.8m) – Man City
Man City’s electric winger was forced off early in the second half against Spurs with visible discomfort, and Pep Guardiola could not confirm whether the Belgian would be available to face Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Status: 50/50

Eberechi Eze (£6.1m) – Crystal Palace
The word coming out of the Crystal Palace camp is that Eze is keen to train and return to the side, but the medical department are urging caution. There is a slight chance of an appearance in Gameweek 15 then, but it seems unlikely.

Status: PROBABLY OUT

Anthony Gordon (£6.0m) – Newcastle
Although the in-form winger played 90 minutes for the Magpies over the weekend, he was said to suffer “tightness in his hip”. It is not thought to be serious though, so he could well feature in Gameweek 15.

Status: LIKELY TO BE AVAILABLE

Callum Wilson (£7.8m) – Newcastle
We will not get a press conference from Newcastle before the Gameweek 15 deadline, so there is uncertainty over Wilson’s availability, but a return against Everton does seem unlikely.

Status: 50/50

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) – Everton
The Toffees striker missed out in Gameweek 14, but Sean Dyche has stated that he was reasonably confident that DCL would be available for the midweek fixture with Newcastle.

Status: 50/50
