As we dive into the first midweek round of Premier League fixtures this season, rotation becomes a huge possibility due to the short turnaround in gameweeks with all sides facing three matches over a maximum eight-day period. We’ve marked out some of the most obvious Gameweek 15 rotation risks.

The first port of call when considering rotation has to be Man City. The defence in particular could well be switched around by Pep Guardiola with Nathan Ake (£5.0m) and John Stones (£5.3m) both candidates to start. This would leave Manuel Akanji (£4.9m) and Josko Gvardiol (£4.9m) in danger of being left out. Meanwhile, neighbours Man Utd are all but certain to rotate out Anthony Martial (£6.4m) following the forward’s failure to make an impact away at Newcastle in Gameweek 14, with Rasmus Hojlund (£7.0m) replacing him up front.
After scoring in consecutive fixtures ahead of Gameweek 14, it was surprising that Kai Havertz (£7.1m) didn’t start Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Wolves. However, that is likely to lead to him being restored to the Gunners’ XI in Gameweek 15, which sees Mikel Arteta’s side face Luton. Should that be the case, it would leave a midfielder vulnerable to rotation, Leandro Trossard (£6.5m) probably being that player.
Cole Palmer (£5.3m) was a surprising starting omission for Chelsea, instead coming off the bench as the Blues defeated Brighton. This was the first time since Gameweek 6 that Palmer hasn’t started for the Blues. Bare in mind though, due to the sending off of Conor Gallagher (£5.4m) against the Seagulls should ensure that no Chelsea midfielder needs to be rotated out of the starting line-up to accommodate Palmer vs Man Utd in Gameweek 15.
As was the case at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp has a decision to make on which player to leave out of Darwin Nunez (£7.7m), Luis Diaz (£7.4m) and Cody Gakpo (£7.2m), with Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) obviously guaranteed to start. Gakpo was left out against Fulham, but could be brought back in for Gameweek 15 with Nunez and Diaz rotated to the bench.
