It’s time to take a look at the top-performing FPL assets in Gameweek 17.
Mohammed Kudus (£6.7m) – 16 Points
A player who is really warming into life at his new club, Kudus delivered his highest individual score of the season when his two goals helped West Ham defeat Wolves 3-0 in Gameweek 17. The Ghanaian, signed from Ajax over the summer, finished on 16 points and that is now five goals and three assists in the Premier League this season. That was also his third double-figure haul of the campaign, and he represents a viable alternative to Jarrod Bowen in the West Ham midfield.
Cole Palmer (£5.6m) – 14 Points
Palmer has gone from strength to strength since his move to Chelsea, and Gameweek 17 saw him both score and assist in the 2-0 victory over promoted side Sheffield Utd. That naturally led to maximum bonus points and took him to 73 points overall. The former Man City man’s FPL ownership has now surpassed 20%, and it is expected to rise yet further considering his budget price.
Dejan Kulusevski (£7.1m) – 14 Points
While much of the fantasy attention has been on teammate Heung-Min Son, and rightly so, Kulusevski has been producing returns himself. Tottenham produced a 0-2 victory at Nottingham Forest last Friday, with the Swede involved in both goals. Like Kudus and Palmer, Kulusevski has now produced three-double figure hauls in the Premier League this season.
Lucas Paqueta (£6.0m) – 14 Points
Prior to Gameweek 17, Paqueta only had one goal and one assist to speak of in the Premier League campaign, but the Hammers midfielder achieved the rather rare feat of making three assists in a single game. The Brazilian set up all three of West Ham’s goals against Wolves, two for the aforementioned Kudus, and claimed two bonus points for his efforts. Given his usual output though, this is likely to be an exception to the rule.
