Now that all press conferences have taken place ahead of the Gameweek 2 deadline, we look at the availability of a selection of players who hold appeal for FPL managers.
Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa) – OUT
The popular budget asset suffered a bad injury in Gameweek 1 and will miss several months of action.
Lisandro Martinez (Man Utd) – AVAILABLE
The Man Utd centre-back suffered a minor ankle injury in Monday’s victory over Man Utd, but Erik ten Hag has confirmed that the Argentine should be okay to take his place in the back four against Spurs.
John Stones (Man City) – OUT
The centre-back was in the squad for City’s UEFA Super Cup encounter midweek, but a setback in training will see the England international miss out in Gameweek 2.
Jurrien Timber (Arsenal) – OUT
One of Arsenal’s new recruits will unfortunately spend an extended period of time on the sidelines as surgery is required to address the cruciate ligament injury sustained last weekend.
Reece James (Chelsea) – OUT
The injury-plagued full-back is in the treatment room once again with a hamstring injury likely to keep him out of action for weeks, if not months.
Pervis Estupinan (Brighton) – UNKNOWN
Some mystery surrounds this one as rumours on social were pointing towards an injury, but Roberto De Zerbi made no mention of it in his pre-match press conference. Could well be a false story.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) – AVAILABLE
The Toffees striker is a viable FPL option when he’s fit, which admittedly isn’t often. Sean Dyche has stated that DCL is in his plans for the Gameweek 2 outing to Villa Park.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) – OUT
The Serb has been ruled out of Gameweek 2 by Marco Silva for an ankle injury amidst speculation linking the striker with a move to Saudi Arabia.
