Now that all press conferences have taken place ahead of the Gameweek 3 deadline, we look at the availability of a selection of FPL assets.
Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa) – 50/50
The World Cup winner is a doubt after being withdrawn from Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League match with Hibernian midweek. Emery will give his number one every chance of recovering.
Luke Shaw (Man Utd) – OUT
An unspecified muscle injury is set to keep the left-back out of action for a few weeks, so he will take no part in Gameweek 3.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) – AVAILABLE
The Liverpool star picked up a knock in the win over Bournemouth last weekend but has been declared fit and available by Jurgen Klopp.
James Maddison (Tottenham) – AVAILABLE
Having trained this week following early fears surrounding his condition, Maddison looks likely to start Spurs’ Gameweek 3 clash with Bournemouth.
Julio Enciso (Brighton) – OUT
After a promising start to the season that saw the Paraguayan register two assists, a knee injury is likely to keep him out for a significant period of time.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) – OUT
The Everton forward managed just 38 minutes against Aston Villa last week before having to leave the field. He must now see a specialist and could be set for another spell on the sidelines.
Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) – AVAILABLE
Mikel Arteta has stated that Jesus has recovered from his recent injury and is available for selection. A bench spot seems most likely in Gameweek 3, but don’t be surprised if the Brazilian takes to the pitch at some point.
Rasmus Hojlund (Man Utd) – OUT
Despite a return to training, Man Utd’s summer signing is not being considered for the squad just yet, although it won’t be long before he’s involved.
