Now that all the Premier League press conferences have taken place, we take a look at the current injury status of a number of FPL assets.
Raphael Varane (Man Utd) – 50/50
Has returned to training but Erik ten Hag would not be drawn on whether the centre-back would feature against Burnley.
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – AVAILABLE
Has completed his suspension and is available for Liverpool’s Gameweek 6 meeting with West Ham.
Reece James (Chelsea) – OUT
Is ‘close’ to a return to training but Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa will come too soon for the right-back.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) – UNLIKELY TO PLAY
No word from Jurgen Klopp on whether his flying full-back has recovered from a hamstring injury. Seems likely to miss out, though.
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) – 50/50
Missed his side’s European outing on Thursday through illness, casting his Gameweek 6 participation in doubt.
Jack Grealish (Man City) – 50/50
Returned to training this week and has a chance of inclusion according to Pep Guardiola. A bench spot seems most likely.
Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) – 50/50
Was not spotted in training, but Mikel Arteta refused to rule him out of the North London Derby. Regardless, Leandro Trossard should keep his place given his recent form.
Lyle Foster (Burnley) – UNAVILABLE
Had proven somewhat popular with FPL managers preparing for Double Gameweek 7, but is now suspended after his red card for violent conduct against Nottingham Forest.
Evan Ferguson (Brighton) – LIKELY TO BE AVAILABLE
Over his recent injury but missed Thursday’s European tie with illness. Should recover in time for Sunday’s fixture with Bournemouth.
