Roma have confirmed the appointment of Daniele De Rossi as manager on a permanent basis after an impressive caretaker spell.

De Rossi, who made over 600 appearances for Roma in a glittering playing career, took over from the sacked Jose Mourinho in January and has helped the club rise from ninth in Serie A to fifth and in the mix for a European place next season.
