Roma have confirmed the appointment of Daniele De Rossi as manager on a permanent basis after an impressive caretaker spell.
De Rossi, who made over 600 appearances for Roma in a glittering playing career, took over from the sacked Jose Mourinho in January and has helped the club rise from ninth in Serie A to fifth and in the mix for a European place next season.

The Giallorossi have also advanced to the quarter-finals of the Europa League and meet Milan tonight boasting a 1-0 advantage from the first leg at San Siro.
A club statement read: “After meeting with Daniele De Rossi we are delighted to announce he will continue as head coach of AS Roma after this season and for the foreseeable future.
