Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol believes the club sell Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer as they already have the perfect replacement in Conor Bradley.
England international Alexander-Arnold has just 16 months left on his contract at Anfield and has suffered from injury problems the season, forcing departing boss Jurgen Klopp to look at younger options at right-back.

That handed an opportunity to Bradley and he has seized it with both hands. He has made 18 appearances, scoring once, assisting six goals and earning rave reviews for his all-round excellence.
Real Madrid have been linked with Alexander-Arnold and Nicol, who made over 300 appearances for the Reds in the 1980s and 90s, winning four league titles, thinks now could be the right time to cash in.
He told ESPN: “I think the fact that Klopp’s leaving, it’s going to be interesting because as we have all said, Trent Alexander-Arnold, as a full-back, is a poor defender.
“I don’t care who you support. Trent Alexander-Arnold isn’t a good defender.
“But he is so good going forward that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Madrid were to offer, I don’t know, £60, £70, £80m. [But] when you have a young kid in Conor Bradley, who is a miles better defender, great going forward, in the same class as Trent…”
Alexander-Arnold is one of three key players whose deals expire in the summer of 2025 alongside captain Virgil van Dijk and leading scorer Mohamed Salah.
