Meunier leaves Dortmund for Trabzonspor

Belgium right back Thomas Meunier has left Borussia Dortmund to join Trabzonspor.

The 32-year-old has made just eight appearances for Dortmund this season and has taken the opportunity to move to Turkey.

Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl told the club’s official website: “For Thomas, there was the opportunity at short notice this week to join a new club before the end of the transfer period. 

“We have complied with his wish for this change, thank Thomas for his commitment and wish him all the best for his sporting and personal future.”

Meunier joined Dortmund from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2020 and played 86 games for the club in all competitions.
