Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has had his say on the debate regarding the greatest player of all time, with the Real Madrid-bound forward choosing Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi.
Palmeiras star Endrick will join Madrid when he turns 18 next July, with Los Blancos winning a battle for his signature last December by agreeing to pay a total of €60million for the teenager.
Endrick’s meteoric rise continued last week as he made his senior Brazil debut by coming off the bench against Colombia, though his first Selecao outing ended in defeat as Liverpool’s Luis Diaz scored a late double in a 2-1 win for La Tricolor.
Ahead of his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu, Endrick was keen to avoid alienating Madrid great Ronaldo when asked to choose between the Portugal forward and his long-time rival Messi.
“Messi is a great player, but I’m more of a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo,” Endrick said.

Endrick could come up against Messi on Tuesday as Brazil face Argentina at the Maracana, in what represents a vital game for the Selecao after they lost two of their first five games in 2026 World Cup qualifying.
“Messi is phenomenal,” Endrick said. “He’s very good, the best in the world again.
“I just want to enjoy the moment of being able to play against him, being in the same stadium as him, looking at him up close.
“I only saw him in video games! Now I’m seeing Messi up close, it’s going to be wonderful.”
