Chelsea captain Reece James is expected to be out of action for at least two months after suffering another hamstring injury in the Blues’ 2-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday.
James was substituted after just 27 minutes as Mauricio Pochettino’s side fell to a third defeat in their last four Premier League games, leaving them rooted in 12th place in the table.
The right-back has endured a frustrating campaign, only starting five of Chelsea’s 16 league games to date and missing two months after injuring his hamstring back in August.

He also sustained two similar injuries last season, and has now suffered seven hamstring problems within the last three years, leading reports to suggest he would see a specialist on Tuesday.
It has been reported that James will not return before mid-February, with Chelsea confirming the 24-year-old would begin a rehabilitation programme after undergoing scans this week.
Chelsea face Sheffield United and Wolves in their final two Premier League games before Christmas, either side of an EFL Cup quarter-final clash with Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge next Tuesday.
