Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan has agreed a new contract to run until 2028, the club’s head coach Gary O’Neil has confirmed.
Hwang has been in excellent form this season, scoring nine goals in 17 appearances for Wolves across all competitions, with eight of those strikes coming in the Premier League.
Only Erling Haaland (14), Mohamed Salah (11), Son Heung-min (10) and Jarrod Bowen (nine) have outscored Hwang in the competition this campaign, with the South Korean’s return already his best since arriving in England in 2021.

Hwang’s previous contract with the club was due to expire in 2026, but O’Neil confirmed a new deal to run for an extra two years had been finalised on Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference to preview Sunday’s trip to West Ham, O’Neil said: “We’re delighted for him because he’s worked extremely hard and given me and the staff and his team-mates absolutely everything since I’ve been here.
“He has scored some really important goals. I’m delighted for the club to secure his services for longer.
“He’s a great guy and he came looking for me and the staff yesterday to thank us all for the hard work that we’ve done with him to help him earn his new contract.
“That just says a lot about what kind of guy he is and how important he is to the group. When someone puts as much in as he does, it’s great that he’s been rewarded with goals and assists and a new contract.”
