The form and price of Dominic Solanke (£6.7m) is certainly being recognised by fantasy bosses, with the Bournemouth forward potentially set to boast half a million new owners ahead of Gameweek 17. A bandwagon has developed following his performance last weekend away at Man Utd, which saw Solanke accrue 7 FPL points. It’s now eight league goals across the season so far for the 26-year-old and only three forwards have accrued more fantasy points over the course of the campaign. Bournemouth hosting struggling Luton in Gameweek 17 is also a big factor in Solanke’s new-found popularity.
A couple of bandwagons are emerging among defenders, not least Pedro Porro (£5.4m) of Spurs, who has impressed recently from an attacking perspective. The right-back’s offensive freedom is reaping serious rewards with Porro gaining four assists in his last five league appearances. Over 340,000 FPL managers have transferred in Porro, who will feature for Spurs on Friday night away at Nottingham Forest.
Pivoting back to Bournemouth, consecutive goals, clean sheets and double-figure hauls for Marcos Senesi (£4.4m) in consecutive gameweeks has seen the centre-back attract a bandwagon of his own. When it comes to defenders, only Porro as it stands can claim more new owners than Senesi leading up to Gameweek 17.
While he isn’t so much a bandwagon pick having always been a popular and well-owned FPL asset, Heung-Min Son (£9.7m) is attracting a large number of incoming transfers following his 17-point-haul against Newcastle in Gameweek 16. Son was an injury doubt for that match, which led many FPL managers to sell ahead of the deadline. They were punished as the Spurs midfielder racked up a goal and two assists. Many of those fantasy bosses have more than likely bought him straight back over the course of the week.
