With the Gameweek 12 deadline on Saturday morning, we cast an eye on a number of form players giving FPL managers reason to sit up and take notice.
Chelsea host champions Man City in Gameweek 12 and one player coming into that match in a rich vein of form is attacking midfielder Cole Palmer (£5.1m). The Man City academy graduate who joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the summer has been outstanding since breaking into the starting line-up and boasts three goals and three assists across the past five gameweeks. Palmer scored from the penalty spot and set one up in the Blues’ 1-4 win over nine-man Spurs last Monday and will be extra motivated to perform well in Gameweek 12 against his old club.
When at Anfield, back Mohamed Salah (12.9m). The Liverpool superstar cannot stop scoring at his home ground so far this season and the Reds host Brentford in Gameweek 12. A Liverpool home fixture in the Premier League hasn’t gone by this campaign without Salah finding the net at least once and it would be no surprise to see him continue that trend come Gameweek 12.
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone (£4.6m) deserves huge credit for his recent form after recording a fourth clean sheet in his last six Premier League appearances at Turf Moor this past weekend. The Eagles take on Everton next, which could see Johnstone add to his 13 saves made since Gameweek 8.
Despite the recent injury to Pedro Neto, it didn’t stop Hwang Hee-chan (£5.5m) continuing his recent spate of attacking returns for Wolves in Gameweek 11. His assist against Sheffield Utd means that Hwang has accrued at least one attacking return in each of his most recent five Premier League appearances as Gary O’Neil continues to get the past out of him. Although Hwang faces a tough Gameweek 12 against Spurs, Ange Postecoglou will be without at least three of his first-choice defenders, which bodes well for the Wolves man.
