As Gameweek 12 starts to loom large for Fantasy Premier League bosses, we’re keeping our eyes on those bandwagon players enticing transfer movement within the FPL community.
Any player who records a score of 22 fantasy points in any given gameweek is going to attract significant attention and this was exactly the case with Jeremy Doku (£6.6m). A whopping four assists and a goal for Man City against Bournemouth saw him rack up the mammoth FPL score which has led to a swift bandwagon. Doku’s ownership has already risen by over 330,000 ahead of Gameweek 12, which sees Man City travel to Chelsea.
Doku isn’t the only winger who is being jumped on by FPL managers following Gameweek 11. West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m) has since his ownership spike upwards by over 175,000 following his goal against Brentford. Bowen’s record on the road in the Premier League for West Ham is formidable, scoring once on each occasion and fantasy bosses are clearly confident that he can carry this goalscoring form to the London Stadium in Gameweek 12, as the Hammers host Nottingham Forest.
Following his goal and clean sheet in Crystal Palace’s 0-2 victory away at Burnley, left-back and previously popular FPL asset Tyrick Mitchell (£4.6m) is coming back into fantasy fashion and developing a bandwagon of his own. As it stands, over 200,000 new owners of Mitchell are expecting him to back this up come Gameweek 12 against Everton.
However, those who moved fast to secure the signing of cheap-priced forward Eddie Nketiah (£5.7m) following his Gameweek 10 hat-trick vs Sheffield Utd will be furious that he has since been injured and missed Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Sevilla in midweek. Those early bandwagoners will be hoping that it was just a minor knock and that he will be ready to go in time for Gameweek 12 and an enticing home fixture against Luton.
