Following the latest round of European fixtures, rotation is a factor that FPL managers will need to consider. Therefore, we mark out a few key assets that could potentially find themselves left out from the start in Gameweek 12.
The main worry regarding rotation is likely to concern the most popular FPL asset out there. Erling Haaland (£14.0m) is set to be nursing an ankle problem but that didn’t stop the Norwegian striker from starting against Young Boys in midweek, playing an hour and scoring twice before being taken off. Of course, this is bound to worry his vast fantasy ownership ahead of Man City’s trip to Chelsea in Gameweek 12.
Another Man City player who warrants a mention regarding rotation is Jeremy Doku (£6.6m). The young prodigy started and racked up both a goal and four assists last weekend in his side’s thrashing of Bournemouth. Doku was not a starter in Gameweek 10 however, having been left on the bench against Man Utd. It remains to be seen if the Belgian will get the chance to start at Stamford Bridge but after beginning on the bench vs Young Boys, the 330,000+ FPL managers who have transferred in Doku have reason to be optimistic.
Aside from Pep Guardiola’s side, rotation will hopefully be sparse in Gameweek 12, but another highly-owned player from a fantasy perspective could be the victim of rotation in a bid to maintain his fitness. Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) suffered a knock in Arsenal’s comfortable victory over Sevilla in the Champions League, the England international picking up a goal and an assist. It didn’t look too bad in real time, but when taking into account how important a player Saka is for Arsenal, combined with them having a favourable home match against struggling Burnley in Gameweek 12, it would be no surprise to see Saka on the end of unwanted rotation.
