With the Gameweek 5 deadline drawing ever closer, we assess some of the form players, who are proving enticing options for FPL managers looking to make any transfers.
Going into Gameweek 5, there are two players who have registered an attacking return in each of the opening four gameweeks of the campaign pre international break. One name is more recognisable than the other from an FPL stand-point, that being Mohamed Salah (£12.5m).
The Egyptian has accrued two goals and two assists so far this season for Liverpool, gaining 23 fantasy points in the process. But that figure is bettered by Nottingham Forest forward Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.6m), who has three goals, an assist and 25 points to his name. Like Salah, Awoniyi has not gone a single gameweek so far this season without a goal or assist.
Another in-form player is James Maddison (£7.8m), who is coming off the back of having scored consecutive Premier League goals. Another Liverpool asset looking to carry on his recent glut of attacking returns is Darwin Nunez (£7.4m), who backed up his two goals against Newcastle in Gameweek 3 with a pair of assists vs Aston Villa.
Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo (£6.7m), has netted four goals so far this campaign and will be looking to add to his tally away at Newcastle, whilst Evan Ferguson (£6.0m) also boasts four goals following his hat-trick vs the Magpies in Gameweek 4. However, Ferguson missed the recent international break due to injury and is unlikely to feature in Gameweek 5.
Finally, it would be remiss not to mention Erling Haaland (£14.1m), coming off the back of a hat-trick and assist against Fulham. Haaland scored for Norway during the international break and looks in ominous form ahead of Man City’s trip to West Ham this coming Saturday.
