After a fairly horrendous gameweek for many FPL managers, perhaps a Free Hit could get you back on track. Here’s a suggested team for Gameweek 12!
The following team is within the £100m budget at the time of writing, with the cheapest possible substitutes used:
3-5-2
GOALKEEPER: Alphonse Areola – £4.3m – West Ham
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (H)
Budget-friendly and opponents Nottingham Forest have failed to score in their last three Premier League away games.
DEFENDER: Kieran Trippier – £7.0m – Newcastle
Fixture: vs Bournemouth (a)
Relentless point-scorer who you simply cannot afford to leave out of your Free Hit team.
DEFENDER: William Saliba – £5.2m – Arsenal
Fixture: vs Burnley (H)
A reliable starter in the Gunners backline, has a favourable fixture in Gameweek 12, and plays for a side who have kept clean sheets in four of their last five games in all competitions.
DEFENDER: Joachim Andersen – £5.1m – Crystal Palace
Fixture: vs Everton (H)
Five clean sheets and three attacking returns this season, and is second only to Trippier for overall FPL points among defenders.
MIDFIELDER: Mo Salah – £12.9m – Liverpool
Fixture: vs Brentford (H)
A rare blank in Gameweek 11, but the Egyptian remains one of the most essential assets in FPL.
MIDFIELDER: Heung Min-Son – £9.6m – Tottenham
Fixture: vs Wolves (a)
Thriving in his central attacking role, and has recorded four double-figure point returns this season.
MIDFIELDER: Bruno Fernandes – £8.3m – Man Utd
Fixture: vs Luton (H)
Has scored in his last two games in all competitions and takes on promoted side Luton in Gameweek 12.
MIDFIELDER: Jarrod Bowen – £7.5m – West Ham
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (H)
Incredibly consistent returns this season with seven goals and an assist to speak of in the Premier League.
MIDFIELDER: Kaoru Mitoma – £6.5m – Brighton
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (H)
Recorded an assist in Gameweek 11 and should have a good chance of returns as Brighton take on bottom-side Sheffield Utd this weekend.
FORWARD: Ollie Watkins – £8.4m – Aston Villa
Fixture: vs Fulham (H)
Although he has blanked in his last two Premier League games, Gameweek 12 opponents Fulham have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last seven outings in all competitions.
FORWARD: Rasmus Hojlund – £7.1m – Man Utd
Fixture: vs Luton (H)
Now the joint-top scorer in the Champions League after his midweek brace against Copenhagen, and has an excellent opportunity to open his Premier League account against Luton.
