FPL 2023-24 – Free Hit XI For Gameweek 6

-

For those considering the Free Hit chip, for Gameweek 6, here’s a suggested team:

The following team is within the £100m budget at the time of writing, with the cheapest possible substitutes used:

3-4-3

GOALKEEPER: Nick Pope – £5.5m – Newcastle
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (a)

Two straight clean sheets in all competitions and faces one of the promoted clubs in Gameweek 6.

DEFENDER: Kieran Trippier – £6.5m – Newcastle
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (a)

Full of assist potential and has been in excellent form recently. Ten attacking returns in the Premier League last season.

DEFENDER: Pervis Estupinan – £5.3m – Brighton
Fixture: vs Bournemouth (H)

Rested in Gameweek 5 following international break exertions but is likely to come back into the Seagulls XI. Three attacking returns already this season.

DEFENDER: Sven Botman – £4.5m – Newcastle
Fixture: vs Sheffield Utd (a)

Completes the Newcastle defensive triple-up. A calming presence at the back and a nailed-on starter when fit.

MIDFIELDER: Mo Salah – £12.5m – Liverpool
Fixture: vs West Ham (H)

An obvious pick given the fact he has now scored or assisted in his last 11 Premier League appearances for Liverpool.

MIDFIELDER: Bukayo Saka – £8.7m – Arsenal
Fixture: vs Tottenham (H)

Two goals and three assists in his last four club appearances in all competitions. Could be the difference maker in the North London Derby.

MIDFIELDER: Bryan Mbeumo – £6.9m – Brentford
Fixture: vs Everton (H)

A favourable home fixture for a player who has scored more FPL points than any other midfielder this season.

MIDFIELDER: Jeremy Doku – £6.5m – Man City
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (H)

Benched in the midweek Champions League game which indicates a start on the weekend. Scored in GW5 and looks comfortable at his new club.

FORWARD: Erling Haaland – £14.1m – Man City
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (H)

Has missed plenty of chances recently but is still Mr Reliable when it comes to FPL points, plus his next hat-trick is always just around the corner…

FORWARD: Julian Alvarez – £6.9m – Man City
Fixture: vs Nottingham Forest (H)

The form player at the moment and the most transferred in asset ahead of Gameweek 6. A no-brainer on a Free Hit.

FORWARD: Evan Ferguson – £6.0m – Brighton
Fixture: vs Bournemouth (H)

Should be fully fit now after a brief cameo in Gameweek 5. Scored a hat-trick against Newcastle in Brighton’s last home league game.
