FPL 2023-24 – Gameweek 10 Injury Update

-

Looking for an injury update on some key FPL assets? All Things FPL have you covered…

Sven Botman (£4.7m) – Newcastle
The knee injury that has prevented Botman’s participation in the last three gameweeks is clearly worse than first thought as he is still a couple of weeks away from a return. Gameweek 10 is definitely out of the question.

Status: OUT

Andy Robertson (£6.5m) – Liverpool
Shoulder surgery seems likely for the Liverpool left-back, which would likely keep him out of action until the new year.

Status: OUT

Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m) – Brighton
The most recent comments surrounding Estupinan’s condition came at the beginning of October, with Roberto De Zerbi stating that he would be out for “one month, more or less”. That indicates that his participation in Gameweek 10 is highly unlikely.

Status: HIGHLY DOUBTFUL

Solly March (£6.3m) – Brighton
March suffered a potentially season-ending injury against Man City last weekend. We are yet to hear the full prognosis, but the fact he left the field on a stretcher, coupled with post-match comments from De Zerbi, indicates a significant spell on the sidelines.

Status: OUT

Casemiro (£5.4m) – Man Utd
Man Utd’s midfield enforcer sat out the Gameweek 9 win over Sheffield Utd with a minor ankle injury, but all signs point towards his return in Gameweek 10.

Status: LIKELY TO BE AVAILABLE

Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.5m) – Nottingham Forest
Steve Cooper suggested last week that Awoniyi is on the verge of a return to training, so Nottingham Forest’s top scorer may recover in time for the Gameweek 10 meeting with Liverpool.

Status: 50/50

Gabriel Jesus (£7.9m) – Arsenal
Jesus asked to be withdrawn in Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Sevilla, with Arteta stating afterwards that this was injury-related. The Brazilian could well miss out on the weekend.

Status: HIGHLY DOUBTFUL

Cody Gakpo (£7.2m) – Liverpool
At the time of writing, the Dutchman has missed the Reds’ last three games in all competitions, but a return to training indicates he will be fit to feature on the weekend, and perhaps even Liverpool’s Europa League tie on Thursday.

Status: LIKELY TO BE AVAILABLE
