Key Gameweek 11 Fixture Ramifications

The main fixture that stands out from an FPL perspective in Gameweek 11 is Man City’s home clash with Bournemouth. No doubt lots of eyes will be on Erling Haaland (£14.0m) on the back of five goals across his last three appearances in all competitions. He’ll be expected to cash in against a struggling Cherries side and he won’t be the only one. Phil Foden (£7.5m) was back on the scoresheet last weekend for the first time since Gameweek 6 in the Premier League last weekend, netting the third goal against Man Utd and will fancy adding to his tally here. You also have Julian Alvarez (£7.2m) who has recorded five attacking returns across Man City’s four home league fixtures so far.

In-form Liverpool travel to Luton, another attractive match-up on paper for those FPL managers who have loaded up on assets from Jurgen Klopp’s side. Expect Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) to understandably court the most interest, with him being the highest scoring FPL asset in all positions, having racked up eight goals and four assists already in the 2023-24 Premier League. In-form forward Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) also stands out as an exciting option.

Sunday should be an important day for many FPL bosses with Luton vs Liverpool following on from Aston Villa’s trip to Nottingham Forest. Villa are among the most attacking teams in the division and fantasy managers are stockpiling players from Unai Emery’s side. Ollie Watkins (£8.4m) will want to get back on the goal trail after a surprise blank in Gameweek 10, while Douglas Luiz (£5.6m) has been a popular acquisition for many FPL managers this past week after gaining two goals, an assist and 22 fantasy points across the past two gameweeks. Defender Matty Cash (£5.2m) is another one who appeals due to the attacking freedom he is afforded by Emery down the right-hand-side.
