FPL 2023-24 – Gameweek 11 Goalkeepers

-

It’s time to take a closer look at FPL Goalkeepers ahead of Gameweek 11.

A second consecutive Premier League clean sheet came the way of Alisson Becker (£5.6m) in Gameweek 10, as Liverpool recorded a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. The Brazilian also earned a bonus point for his efforts, and he is now the joint-second highest scoring goalkeeper from an FPL perspective. Jurgen Klopp’s men face promoted side Luton in Gameweek 11, a fixture that Alisson owners will be expecting another clean sheet from.

Fellow premium shot-stopper Ederson (£5.5m) also kept the opposition out last weekend, as Man City recorded a derby victory over Man Utd. That represented the reigning champions’ first clean sheet in their last four Premier League games, and given his relatively high price, more is expected of Pep Guardiola’s number one. Gameweek 11 sees Man City host Bournemouth at the Etihad.

Certainly one of the form goalkeepers right now is Arsenal’s David Raya (£4.8m), who has kept clean sheets in three of his last four Premier League appearances. Indeed, Arsenal have only conceded in two of the six Premier League games since Raya replaced Aaron Ramsdale (£4.7m) in the Gunners’ net. Raya is expected to be put to the test in Gameweek 11 though, as his side take on Newcastle at St. James’ Park.

Like the previously mentioned Alisson, Mark Flekken (£4.5m) also helped his side record a second successive shutout in Gameweek 10, with Brentford recording an excellent 0-2 win at Chelsea. However, those considering investing in the Bees number one should be aware of a difficult fixture run for Thomas Frank’s side, with Brentford facing Liverpool and Arsenal after hosting West Ham this weekend.

Everton’s Jordan Pickford (£4.4m) was the only other goalkeeper to record a clean sheet in Gameweek 10, while the highest point-scorer overall among goalkeepers – Vicario (£5.2m) – added three points to this total in Tottenham’s 1-2 victory away at Crystal Palace.
