It’s time to delve into the FPL stock market to see which players are being bought and sold in their droves.
TRANSFERS IN
Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) – West Ham
There could be a lot of FPL managers regretting their decisions in Gameweek 13 as Bowen, who has had the most transfers in this week, has suffered an injury while training with England and there is serious doubt over his involvement in Gameweek 13. Although his absence this weekend hasn’t yet been confirmed by the club, it would be a huge blow to investors as Bowen has been in fantastic goalscoring form this season having found the net ten times in all competitions for the Hammers.
Cole Palmer (£5.2m) – Chelsea
Man-of-the-moment Cole Palmer is in a rich vein of form right now and appears to be growing in stature each time he takes to the pitch for Chelsea. With his opportunities largely limited at former club Man City, Palmer is flourishing now that he is given regular game-time at Stamford Bridge, and the fact that he is on penalties only adds to his fantasy appeal. Although he is swiftly rising in price, £5.2m is still excellent value for money for a player who has recorded seven attacking returns in the Premier League this season.
TRANSFERS OUT
James Maddison (£7.9m) – Tottenham
The Spurs midfielder has been a hugely popular fantasy asset this season having begun life at his new club seamlessly, but an ankle injury sustained in the defeat to Chelsea at the beginning of November has ruled Maddison out until the new year. The England international, who has logged nine attacking returns in the Premier League campaign, is being offloaded en masse by FPL managers, with over 600k sales over the international break.
Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) – Brighton
Having recorded just one attacking return over the course of the last six gameweeks, it’s hardly surprising that FPL managers are losing patience with Mitoma, but that has been compounded by the fact he is now flagged as an injury doubt. The Japanese star withdrew from international duty and some reports suggest he will not recover in time for Brighton’s meeting with Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 13.
