As Gameweek 14 edges ever closer, we’re turning our attention to those bandwagon players enticing managers across the FPL community to potentially make a transfer or two.
Despite their 0-1 defeat at home to Arsenal in Gameweek 13, a bandwagon is developing quickly within the Brentford team and specifically FPL-listed midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.0m). This particular bandwagon’s reasoning is very much to do with ‘form over fixture’ when taking into account that Mbeumo has failed to accrue an attacking return in each of the last two gameweeks. However, across the past five gameweeks, Mbeumo has picked up two goals, three assists and 36 fantasy points. With a home fixture with Luton next up for Brentford in Gameweek 14, interest in Mbeumo has already exploded.

Form Players ahead of Gameweek 14
As Newcastle’s only fit forward as it stands, it would be no surprise to see Alexander Isak (£7.4m) end up a significantly higher-owned FPL asset heading into Gameweek 14 than he was this time last weekend. The speedy Swedish striker scored on his return to the Magpies starting XI following injury against Chelsea in Gameweek 13, then backed that up with a goal away to PSG in the Champions League. With precious few options in the forward positions for Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, the expectation is that Isak will start against Man Utd in Gameweek 14 and a bandwagon may well emerge.
Another forward who is starting to develop a bandwagon not just for Gameweek 14 but coming into the next few gameweeks is Darwin Nunez (£7.6m). The Liverpool star takes on Fulham this weekend before fixtures against Sheffield Utd and Crystal Palace. With four goals and six assists despite limited minutes across this season’s Premier League campaign, Nunez’s potential points ceiling is so high that he is an extremely attractive prospect for FPL managers. Over 200,000 of them have transferred in the Uruguayan international ahead of Gameweek 14.
