There is certainly no shortage of injuries in the Premier League at the moment, so we take a look at those which have the biggest impact on FPL managers.
Ben Chilwell (£5.5m) – Chelsea
Many have sold the Chelsea left-back by now, and many more will show him the exit door after the news has come through that he will be out of action until December with a hamstring injury.
Status: OUT
Sven Botman (£4.7m) – Newcastle
The centre-back was one of the most transferred in players ahead of Double Gameweek 7, but a knee injury prevented his participation and he now seems highly likely to miss the Gameweek 8 fixture with West Ham.
Status: HIGHLY DOUBTFUL
Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) – Arsenal
Saka clearly hasn’t been fully-fit for some time now, with the Arsenal midfielder limping at various points in the Gunners’ last three fixtures. Indeed, he had to be withdrawn in the first half of the midweek Champions League tie with Lens, placing his Gameweek 8 participation in doubt.
Status: 50/50
Moussa Diaby (£6.7m) – Aston Villa
Villa’s summer signing sustained a knock against Brighton in Double Gameweek 7 and is set to miss his side’s European tie on Thursday. It remains to be seen whether he makes it back for Sunday’s clash with west midlands rivals Wolves.
Status: 50/50
Eberechi Eze (£6.2m) – Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace star sustained a hamstring injury late on in the victory over Man Utd last weekend, and it has since been revealed that he is set to miss up to six weeks of action.
Status: OUT
Callum Wilson (£7.8m) – Newcastle
The Newcastle striker missed the Double Gameweek 7 victory over Burnley, and was also absent for the midweek Champions League clash with PSG. However, judging by Eddie Howe’s recent comments, he stands a chance of involvement this weekend.
