Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-Min has been crowned the Premier League’s Player of the Month for September.
This makes it two months in a row that the award has gone to a Spurs player after team-mate James Maddison won the award for August.
The 31-year-old forward, who has taken on the captain’s armband after the departure of Harry Kane, has had a stellar start to the Premier League season, scoring six goals in just four games.
This will be the fourth time that Son has won the award. There are just six players in the league who have won the award more times.
He joins Alan Shearer and Theirry Henry, who have also won four, whilst ex-teammate [Harry] Kane and Sergio Aguero are the only players to have won the award seven times.
This was followed by the Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou winning back-to-back Premier League Manager of the Month awards.
In what has been a perfect start to managing in the Premier League for Postecoglou, Spurs remain unbeaten in the Premier League after beating newly promoted sides Burnley and Sheffield United, Liverpool and drawing with Arsenal.
