Key Gameweek 10 Fixture Ramifications
Gameweek 10 begins with a London derby as Crystal Palace host league leaders Spurs. Heung-Min Son (£9.5m) and James Maddison (£8.1m) will both be hoping to carry on their superb recent form here for the visitors offensively. The pair have racked up 68 and 56 FPL points respectively over the course of this season so far under Ange Postecoglou. North London rivals Arsenal are in action the following day at home to rock-bottom Sheffield Utd. Plenty of FPL assets from the Gunners will be aiming to be among the attacking returns, such as Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) Martin Odegaard (£8.5m) and Gabriel Martinelli (£7.7m).
Aston Villa hosting Luton is another fixture which will catch the eye of FPL managers, especially with so many owning at least one player from Unai Emery’s squad. Ollie Watkins (£8.3m) unsurprisingly courts the most interest having already accumulated five goals, eight assists and 70 fantasy points across this campaign so far. Full-back Matty Cash (£5.1m) offers the potential of FPL returns at both ends of the pitch, with him and his fellow Villa defenders surely eying up the potential of a Gameweek 10 clean sheet vs the Hatters.
The other fixture that really stands out is Liverpool’s home match against Nottingham Forest. With the Reds having been in fine form all season, many will be hoping that their players can profit from an FPL perspective. Not least Mohamed Salah (£12.8m), the top-scoring fantasy asset in all positions so far this season with 75 points to his name. But he isn’t the only player worth mentioning. Fellow midfielder Luis Diaz (£7.5m), forward Darwin Nunez (£7.4m) and defender Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.9m) may also profit hugely in Gameweek 10.
