Coming off the back of a round of midweek fixtures across UEFA’s three club competitions, rotation is a concern for plenty of FPL bosses. Therefore, we highlight a collection of assets that could be most at risk of being left out from the start in Gameweek 10.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp opted to bench Darwin Nunez (£7.4m) in Gameweek 9 following his commitments for Uruguay, but the Reds striker did come off the bench to sit up Mohamad Salah (£12.8m) late on against Everton, Liverpool winning by two goals to nil. After starting in the Europa League this past Thursday, Nunez got on the scoresheet himself but also missed an absolute sitter. It was a very good individual performance though, which may see him start in Gameweek 10 with both Diogo Jota (£7.7m) and Luiz Diaz (£7.5m) potentially rotation risks.
With injured players making a return to action, Man City starting line-up is away tough to predict rotation wise, but after Julian Alvarez (£7.1m) was given a much-deserved rest in their midweek Champions League group game with Young Boys, the Argentinian will surely be rotated back in from the start for the Gameweek 10 Manchester Derby. Meanwhile, Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi certainly isn’t afraid to rotate his side following a European fixture, so owners of Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) in particular should be cautious. Mitoma started in the Seagulls’ 2-0 Europa League win over Ajax this past Thursday night and after starting each of Brighton’s last three Premier League games, may yet be given a rest.
Although both sides were in Champions League action, Man Utd and Newcastle are both not expected to rotate with crucial Gameweek 10 fixtures on the horizon for both and the same can be said for West Ham and Aston Villa, despite their Europa League and Europa Conference League excursions respectively.
