FPL 2023-24 – Gameweek 11 Bandwagons

-

As Gameweek 11 starts to draw closer for Fantasy Premier League managers, we’re keeping a close eye on those key bandwagon players drawing the most attention among the FPL community.

On the back of a fantastic Gameweek 10 hat-trick, the bandwagon is firmly rolling for Eddie Nketiah (£5.6m). Being available at such a cheap price-tag has no doubt played a role in the Arsenal forward’s new-found popularity, with Nketiah having already been transferred in by over quarter of a million FPL managers. Whether his 17-point-haul on the back of that hat-trick was a flash in the pan, remains to be seen. But with Gabriel Jesus out with a hamstring injury, Nketiah should be given the opportunity to start again for the Gunners in Gameweek 11 against Newcastle at St. James’ Park.

The Douglas Luiz (£5.6m) bandwagon continues to grow in size following a successful Gameweek 10 which saw the Brazilian set up a goal and pick up 7 fantasy points in Aston Villa’s 3-1 win over Luton. Known as a defensive midfielder, Luiz has been afforded some extra attacking freedom by Unai Emery, not to mention the fact that he takes penalties. He boasts two goals, an assist and 22 fantasy points across the last two gameweeks and ahead of Gameweek 11, over 230,000 FPL bosses have brought in Luiz.

It’s somewhat of a surprise that Joachim Andersen (£5.0m) hadn’t developed much of a bandwagon across the season so far when taking into account his performances from an FPL perspective. But an assist in Gameweek 10 ensured a respectable 3 points for the defender, despite his Crystal Palace side losing against Spurs. Away to struggling Burnley in Gameweek 11, FPL managers no doubt sense an opportunity to capitalise and a bandwagon has emerged for Andersen. The Eagles’ centre-back looks set to pass 200,000 new owners before the Gameweek 11 deadline this coming Saturday morning.
